Feature and Follow #37

Alison Can Read Feature & Follow
This is a weekly blog hop hosted by the wonderful Parajunkee and Alison Can Read. Today's question is:

Q: Confess your blogger sins! Is there anything as a newbie blogger that you've done, that as you gained more experience you were like -- oops?

I can't really think of anything, sinful that is lol. But I guess I feel bad about slacking off on doing reviews. I started out requesting ARCs and have failed at reviewing the books once I do get them. That bothers me the most so I'm trying now more than ever to go through my shelf and get back on track.

How about you?

  1. I just started accepting book reviews. So far, I have only one request. My earliest mistake was starting my blog without having a clear direction for it, because then I thought it was cool to have a website. Yeah, it's still cool, but I've found my purpose: writing and Books! :)

  2. I did the same mistake, I use to say yes to every review request and I ended up with a huge pile to read!
I'm not participating in this week F&F but you can visit my blog anyway :)

  3. Sadly that's my case as well. I see an interesting book and immediately request it than don't get around to reading/reviewing until months & months later. Now I'm more selective and have eased off requesting/accepting books so that I can focus on my TBR pile which is ever-growing. Really great FF :)

  4. I have a problem when it comes to Netgalley! There are often books by authors I really, really love, and I click away requesting. I never really expect to be accepted, but now, I have a ton of review-galleys screaming at me from my kindle... I will still take my time, though. I need to savor books to enjoy them.

Thanks for stopping by my FF post earlier, Shane.

    Have a fantastic Friday.

  5. Bloggers are busy bunch. Everyone seems to have books piled up to the sky. Thanks for the follow. I'm already GFC following, so I hit you up on Twitter (@robgirlbooks).

  6. My 'to review' pile tends to get way out of hand ... I think it is a common problem amongst all of us bloggers. :)

  7. ARCs are few and far between for me. I usually only get them through Netgalely and Edelweiss. I try to read and review those right away. Although I say that today, but I did just receive 2 review books that I may not get to til next month because I really want to focus on a TBR challenge for this month! Will still be able to get the one ARC done looong before its release date and the other is already released, so it will all be fine!

    Here's my Follow Friday

    Have a GREAT weekend!

  11. I just created accounts for Edelweiss and NetGalley... and I've went a bit overboard requesting books and they're starting to pile up! I definitely need to chill out a bit!

  14. I know that feeling! Right now I'm drowning in review books and I feel like I'll never catch up...

  15. I think many of us know that feeling! I request so many books some times and then I have no time to get to them. I recently stopped going on NG and Edelweiss, but a couple of weeks ago, I went on there and got a huge collection of Harper Teen books. Now, I have so much to review!

  16. Yep, it bothers me too, hope to catch up to them one day....
