Feature and Follow #56

This is a weekly blog hop hosted by the wonderful Parajunkee and Alison Can Read. Today's question is:

Q: Book Vacay: Where is the best destination reading spot for you? (Where do you like to go to read other then your home)

Nice one. I'd have to say on the beach, a quiet part where not a lot of people are. I just put my earplugs in, listen to soothing music and read. Besides that, I love reading in the comfort of my home.

How about you?

  5. Ooo, a beach would be nice! Too bad I'm in the exact middle of a coastal state - the beaches are too far!

Thanks for visiting my blog! Old follower!

  6. I can walk to the beach from my house, but sadly my skin does not agree with it at all. I'm one of those fair skinned irish/german girls that turns red in 20 minutes, so I stay away from the sun as much as possible but...I might try to go in the afternoons in the fall when the UV index isn't so bad!

thanks for stopping by my feature :)

  9. It seems you'd already thought about this one, sine your blog design screams reading at the beach (which I love BTW)! I can't listen to music while I read though - I get into the song and forget the book lol.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Following you on Bloglovin'

  10. Oh yeah, the beach has to be quiet. Nothing like people tripping over your legs or hitting you in the head with a beachball to spoil a good read!!
Thanks for stopping by my FF.

  16. I can't listen to music and read at the same time. I'm not sure why...I need to work on that. It does help with all the noise.

And love that beach picture :)

  19. Reading at the beach is always nice - as long as it's a quite spot like you said. Otherwise I get so involved in my book, I'm likely to get hit in the head with a frisbee or something haha!
Thanks for stopping by Shane :)

  20. That's such a nice place, Shane! Where is that exactly? :)

  21. Hi, Shane!

Oh, I'm with you! I love the beach!! However, I don't listen to soothing music, but to the soothing sound of the waves. And of course, I like nearly deserted beaches, too. Also, I prefer to go (when I can...haven't gone in quite a while...)in the afternoon, say, around 3:00 or 4:00, when the sun is not that strong.....

Of course, I'd also love to be able to read in a forest meadow (ah, Edward....), but there aren't too many of those around Miami, Florida! Lol. And it would have to be cool outside. Definitely!

Thanks for dropping by and commenting on my STS post!! I'm adding your blog button to my sidebar, by the way! Such a relaxing pic....ahhhhhhh..... : )
