I received only one book. Laurie Halse Anderson's The Impossible Knife of Memory, along with some swag. I haven't read anything by the author before but I've heard lots of good things about her novel, Speak. Can't wait to read this one. Thank you Penguin :)

    I need to start doing this - I usually go crazy every week getting more books than I can read, but I am helpless :D I hope you'll enjoy this book a lot!

    I haven't read Speak (saw the movie) but I have read a few of LHA's other books. I'm not sure I can take this one. I don't do well with difficult subjects, but it has a lot of good reviews on Goodreads.

    I read one of her books and truly enjoyed it. She has tons though so I hope you'll be able to read at least one of hers. This one looks good! Looking forward to your thoughts on this one, Shane!

    I haven't read any of her books either but really want to read Speak because of all the controversy and things surrounding it. Hope you enjoy reading this one!

    Oh, The Impossible Knife of Memory sounds really good! I haven't read anything by her either but I've heard a ton of great things about her books, apparently they are quite heartwrenching! I hope you enjoy and thanks for stopping by my blog :)

    I haven't heard about this author or this book, Shane. But please enjoy it. You're so lucky for getting an ARC from Penguin. They always reject all my e-book requests.

    This book is new to me, so I hopped on over to Amazon to check it out. The plot looks VERY intense! Although there are no customer reviews on the page, there are quotes from rave reviews by the School Library Journal, Publisher's Weekly, Kirkus Reviews, and Booklist. WOW. So I'm adding this one to my TBR pile!!
