This is a weekly blog hop hosted by the wonderful Parajunkee and Alison Can Read. Today's question is:
Q: Is there a song that reminds you of a book? Or vice versa? What is the song & the book?
Ooh good question this week. I'd say Jessie J's "Who We Are" reminds me of 'My Life in Black & White' by Natasha Friend. Why? Because in my opinion, Lexi was finding out who she really was, even though she knew all along. It's almost like she was connecting with the part of her she lost. Well, that's what I think when I hear this song.
How bout you?
I don't know the book but it is a beautiful song : ) Thanks for sharing and Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteThank you. Enjoy your weekend :)
DeleteHavent heard of either one but I love that you associated the lyrics in a song with the emotions of a character!

I haven't read that book yet, but I find it interesting that most of us can actually think of one song that encompasses a character or a whole series!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my FF post earlier.

DeleteI haven't heard of this book OR this song. Thanks for sharing!!
ReplyDeleteI didn't participate this week, but when I saw the question an answer quickly popped in my head. Mine would be Where We Belong by Emily Giffin... and the song is Elderly Woman by Pearl Jam. There's a scene at the end of the book where they sing this song... and since Pearl Jam is my all-time favorite band, it definitely stuck with me. :)
Oh cool. That's a good one.
DeleteThanks for stopping by :)
