Feature and Follow 9/14

Gain New Blog Followers

This is a weekly blog hop hosted by the wonderful Parajunkee and Alison Can Read. Today's question is:

What hyped up book do you think was not worth all the talk?

I'd have to say Grave Mercy (His Fair Assassin #1) by R.L. LaFevers. I've tried reading that book 3 times and just couldn't finish it. The writing is good but the details are just too much. I'll probably finish it someday when I have nothing left to read.

The covers are cool though.

What about you?

  2. Three times? Ugh! I hate when no matter how hard I try, I just can't get into a book!!

  3. I did really enjoy this one, but I do agree that sometimes the details slowed things way down.

  4. Hi Shane :) thanks for stopping by my FF post earlier. You left me the link to concise bookreviews, though, and not your own...

I haven't read this book yet, but I just might one day.

    Have a fantastic weekend.

  6. New follower!

The book was okay for me, but it wasn't as original as I would have liked.

  7. Yeah I heard bad things about this one despite the hype. And it didn't really get onto my radar so I ignored it. Awesome cover though!

  13. I agree!! I mean, I did read it, but I didn't think it was spectacular or anything. So many people were raving about it and then I got a widget invite for it and decided I had to read it! It took me days. I think I gave it 3 stars. I liked it, but it totally didn't live up to all the hype.
