~My Review~
A dreamy and electrifying modern retelling of a timeless love. Dreamwalker is convincingly the tastiest novel I've devoured from Andrea Heltsley.
The story was rather fast paced and detail oriented, which allowed me to get through it in no time, while still feeling entertained. I must admit though there were times where I felt it as draggy during the opening chapters but once things got rolling I was at the edge of my seat.
Noel had me irking in the beginning. I literally wanted to enter the story and slap her for that entirely too much dramatic response to a breakup. Her relationship with that dude seemed so dry and unfelt. He didn't even seem to love her as much as she did. I'm not sure if that was the intention of the author but that's what I got from the words and the way in which it was written.
My impression of Autumn is good. Her loyalty to Noel is believable and her character was even more interesting once I discovered she was into the otherworldly. It was wickedly awesome that Noel wasn't going through her strange happenings by herself and that she was able to share with her best friend.
Aside from that draggy encounter I mentioned earlier, the plot was good, as well as the overall build up. I enjoyed what I read, loved the ending, and can't wait to consume the next.
Great review Shane. This has been my favorite of all the books she has written. I really liked it.
