Question of the Week: Change the Plot. If you could, what book would you change the ending or a plot thread? Go ahead and do it...change it.

I'd have to pick Dead Girls Don't Lie because that ending still to this day has me a little upset. Reason being, the love interest turned out to be the killer (sorry for the spoiler if you haven't read it yet). I'd have loved for them to have a happy ending and the killer be somebody else. I liked the rest of the story, just not really that part.

Question of the Week: What was the last book that made you cry?

Wow! Good question. I can't remember there being another book to make me cry since I read Before I Fall  in the earlier part of 2013. I just haven't read a book that pulled me to the point where I actually wept with the characters. It hasn't happened yet and I am waiting for such a book. Unexpected storms is what I call them! 

How about you, which book made you cry? Maybe I'll give it a try.

Question of the Week: If you could read a book for the “first time” again, which book would it be? Why?

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. Reason being, it's so impeccably written and you immediately get pulled into the story. I've re-read it on several occasions actually, and each time it still manages to captivate me like the first time I read the story. Jane Austen is just that kind of author, a really good one you can't turn away from. And I like the concepts of her stories, very relatable even though they're set in different time periods.

Question of the Week: What books are you looking forward to reading in 2014?

I'm getting repetitive now but I don't mind. I cannot wait to read Susan Dennard's Strange and Ever After, as well as Rae Hachton's Evermore and Kelly Creagh's Oblivion. I absolutely love these three series more than any other and cannot wait to get my hands on their upcoming conclusions.

This is a good question, but sadly, I don't have one. I wish I did. I mean, there are a few blogs I stop by more regularly than others because I remember them off the top of my head. But we're not BFFs like tweeting each other constantly or otherwise. Now that I think about it, I could use a blogger BFF :) Wanna be mine?

Great one. This is pretty easy for me because I know what I want to do more of this year:

1. READ MORE BOOKS!

2. Do more interviews with authors

3. Work on a new design for my blog

4. Start to interact a lot like when I first started blogging

As a writer, I'd like to:

1. Be more disciplined when trying to finish a book

2. Destroy the evil voice inside my head telling me I shouldn't write anymore

3. Get over my fear of receiving bad reviews

4. Find a professional editor 

5. I'd love to reach the NY Times or USA Today Bestselling list but hey, I doubt my writing is there yet. It's nice to dream though :)

Cool question as always. Happy holidays everyone. Santa brought me a trilogy I never would have gotten myself. I already wrote about this, but I'm not a fan of books that are too popular because I always end up not liking them. However, I do appreciate receiving the Divergent box set as a gift and I definitely will read them soon.

Wow! This is a hard one because I can't remember anything unusual I did this year. I guess, where writing is concerned, last month was the first time I didn't spend as much time on my blog and finished writing a book in 25 days. I have a tendency to spend months writing, so that's unusual for me. Aside from that, I can't think of anything else.

Q: What are some of your favorite magazines?

I love Cosmopolitan. It is my absolute favorite magazine. There's no other I read as much or pick up in a store when I glance at the latest feature. Cosmo always grabs my attention because of the variety in content. There's always something new to learn. Whether it has to do with your general health, beauty or other interesting ways to find enjoyment. Yes! Cosmopolitan is my FAVORITE magazine! It is also the only one I get in print. Anything else I just skim through online.

Q: What book (or TV show or movie) have you not read that seemingly everyone else has?

Easy. I haven't read Divergent, Insurgent, and probably won't read Allegiant obviously because I have to start from the beginning. It's quite a popular trilogy but I guess I just haven't been appealed enough to read it, and I don't necessarily read books based on hype. But anyway, maybe one day I'll pick up the first book or maybe not. It all depends on my mood.

Ooh, that's a tricky one. It's not the easiest thing trying to pick real life actors that will depict the same appeal and vision you had for them in the book so I don't know if I could ever pick the "right" actors. I know that's so blah but it's really hard to pick actors that will match up to my favs in Nevermore. There will never be anyone in real life that will look exactly the way I envision Varen or Isobel, but I'd say Shiloh Fernandez and AnnaSophia Robb.

Well, I'm a shy one so I rather just take a pic of my favorite series instead, which I'm currently re-reading. I can't get enough of Kelly Creagh's Nevermore. I love dark, gothic romance with paranormal elements, and this book has it all. Raise a hand if you agree :)

Q: Share something you’ve learned about book blogging or just blogging in general in the last month.

Good one, as always. I would say that I've learned consistency matters but you can take a day or two away (as is the case with any sort of blogging). And also, that you should interact with other bloggers, just go around and check out what they're doing on their blogs and leave comments and such. It really gets you more acquainted with the book community and if you're new to it then seeing what others do can be somewhat of a learning process to get yours going. Just stay clear of the drama though, and focus on what you want. Being interactive also gets others coming to your blog and I don't know about you but when different people from around the world stop by my blog and leave messages it gives me the drive to keep blogging.

That's my take on it. How about you?

Q: How do you handle a book you don’t like? Do you DNF or do you power through?

I hate not finishing a book, but if I absolutely cannot make it to the end I DNF it for the time. Some stories are just not pulling (interesting, addicting, you name it) and simply cannot maintain your attention so instead of causing any more pain or waste of eye sight I give up on it. I know it sucks but it happens. However, most of the time I go back to the story and end up finishing it because it turned out to not be so bad :)
