This is a weekly blog hop hosted by the wonderful Parajunkee and Alison Can Read. Today's question is:
Q: What do you do with your books after you are done reading them?
Good question. I either add them to my wonderful collection, or pass them down to my little sister to read. If its a book or series I absolutely adore and can't separate myself from, I buy her a copy and keep mine, especially if its signed :)
How about you?
Aww great answer Shane! What a good big brother sharing the book love! I love it!

I don't have anyone to pass the book down to. I'm pretty sure that the Mr. doesn't want to read my paranormal romance books. No matter how much I talk about them.

Oh, I wish I had a little sister who liked to read. My little cousin isn't a big reader, so I can't really give her anything. I either trade my books for other books (YA Book Exchange shout out!), but if I can't part with them, I keep them on my shelf and loan them to friends :D
ReplyDeleteMe and my mom share books :) She reads more books than I do and faster!

Hopping through. I often give my books to my parents, but sometimes if I really love the book, I'll buy them a separate copy.

Nice answer. My oldest daughter and I read some of the same books, so she thinks my bookshelf if own little private library. lol.
ReplyDeleteThis would probably be my exact answer haha! Even though I know I probably won't pick up a series in years again, I just can't let them go. Some may say it's hoarding, I say it's keeping my treasures. I have a younger sister too and she's always asking to read my books. I usually let her but I make her swear she'll take extra good care of them. I'm kind of anal about stuff like that. I like to keep them in pristine condition and her books show lots of wear and tear. Great answer!
ReplyDeleteHow great - your little sister's got a great deal! I wish I had an older sibling passing down books to me!

Fun that you give the books to your sister. If my sister lived closer I would do this too!!!

Yes! Series and signed books are keepers and the hardest to part with. I usually buy another copy if I want someone to read either. Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier.

That's nice that you pass them to your sister. I'm not sure I would. I'm crazy about even lending them out. I think people don't even ask me because they know I'm nuts.
ReplyDeleteI pass some books to friends, and some books to my little brother :3 I'm getting him to read The Hunger Games, currently.

I used to sell all the books that I gave 3 stars or less because I felt that only great books deserved to be on my bookshelf. But lately, I have been keeping them. Maybe I will start selling them again sometime soon because I don't have much space left:)

ReplyDeleteI just passed along my copy of Insignia by S.J. Kincaid to my brother, and he's really enjoying it so far! I swear my brother would never read if I didn't hand him books I think he'd like :)
