This is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee & Alison Can Read. Check out this week's question:
Q: Jumping Genres: Ever pick up a book from a genre you usually don't like and LOVE it? Tell us about it and why you picked it up in the first place.
My answer to that would have to be books about zombies. I never thought I could enjoy reading stories about zombies but This is Not a Test and Something Strange and Deadly are interesting books.
The reason why I started reading the genre is because I like to try new things and challenge myself. After all, you never know if you'll enjoy something unless you try it.
What about you?
I got into reading zombie books after reading World War Z a few years back. I'm on book 2 (Deadline) of the Newsflesh Trilogy by Mira Grant. It's really good- the first book is Feed.
ReplyDeleteNever heard of WWZ but thanks for sharing
DeleteI love zombie books! Warm Bodies was an unusual tale but I loved it. I would like to try Urban Fantasy. I have friends that love that genre but I haven't really picked up anything besides the Night Huntress series. I want to read Shadow Reader soon. Have fun with the zombies Shane. :)
ReplyDeleteThose sound pretty interesting. Thanks!
DeleteOh I adore zombies books :D
