Aside from just figuring out that its actually called 'The Mortal Instruments' and not 'Immortal Instruments', *smackshead, I'm literally embarrassed to say I haven't started this series since its birth 5 years ago. I feel even worse knowing the author's currently writing a prequel and spin-off, because that to me shows how late I am if she's already working on other ventures. Hopefully, I'll start City of Bones very soon. Wish me luck!
I really liked it! Though the first 3 are the best and I think it should have stopped there like it was originally planned (beating a dead horse and all) but they're still a fun read!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip!
DeleteIf it makes you feel better, I haven't read the series either *bows head in shame* Well, good luck! ;)
ReplyDeleteLOL! I wish us both luck then
DeleteThere are actually a lot of people who haven't read this series yet, but I love when I can introduce someone to it, like my sis. I do agree with Giselle, though, in that it should have stopped at the originally planned three books. Not that I don't enjoy reading the story further, but book three was a good stopping point for these particular characters. I also love Clare's Infernal Devices series. Probably even more than this one! :D Anyway, good luck...I hope you enjoy these when you get to them!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I think i'll get that boxset with books 1-3 just to see how i like it. Yea, i've heard a lot about Infernal Devices too...
DeleteDon't feel bad, I haven't either. I don't know if I'll be able to get to them. : p
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you'll love it! I know I did, it's a really good series! It's actually on of my YA favorites.
ReplyDeleteI just (yesterday actually) started reading City of Bones. Listening actually... My first audiobook. :) I'm only on Chapter 3, but I have a feeling I'm really going to love it. :)
