Why Haven't I Read This Series? #6: The Mortal Instruments

City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments, #1) City of Ashes (The Mortal Instruments, #2)
City of Glass (The Mortal Instruments, #3) City of Fallen Angels (The Mortal Instruments, #4) City of Lost Souls (The Mortal Instruments, #5) City of Heavenly Fire (The Mortal Instruments, #6)
Aside from just figuring out that its actually called 'The Mortal Instruments' and not 'Immortal Instruments', *smackshead, I'm literally embarrassed to say I haven't started this series since its birth 5 years ago. I feel even worse knowing the author's currently writing a prequel and spin-off, because that to me shows how late I am if she's already working on other ventures. Hopefully, I'll start City of Bones very soon. Wish me luck!

Why Haven't I Read This Series? #5: Vampire Academy

It seems every single blog I visit has something to do with a Richelle Meade series, whether its the spin-off or my topic at hand, The Vampire Academy series. It's such a shame to be one of very few to not have read this series and I would love to start, now that Richelle's completed it and has moved on to the next.
Vampire Academy (Vampire Academy, #1) Frostbite (Vampire Academy, #2) Shadow Kiss (Vampire Academy, #3)
Blood Promise (Vampire Academy, #4) Spirit Bound (Vampire Academy, #5) Last Sacrifice (Vampire Academy, #6)
Two races of vampires walk our world. One, the Moroi, are alive and wield elemental magical. The other, the Strigoi, are undead and evil--feeding on the innocent to survive. Rose Hathaway--a half-vampire with poor impulse control--is training to be a bodyguard for a Moroi princess. Learning to decapitate and stake is hard enough, but Rose's real danger may lie in an illicit romance with one of her instructors...

For a Few Demons More (The Hollows, #5) The Outlaw Demon Wails (The Hollows, #6) White Witch, Black Curse (The Hollows, #7) Black Magic Sanction (The Hollows, #8)
Pale Demon (The Hollows, #9) A Perfect Blood (The Hollows, #10)

Why Haven't I Read This Series? #3

Rachel Caine is one of my favorite authors and I really like her Morganville Vampire series, but I never seemed to pay much attention to her other just as exceptional novels. In particular, the Weather Warden series. I need to start this one ASAP!

Ill Wind (Weather Warden, #1) Heat Stroke (Weather Warden, #2) Chill Factor (Weather Warden, #3)
Windfall (Weather Warden, #4) Firestorm (Weather Warden, #5) Thin Air (Weather Warden, #6)
Gale Force (Weather Warden, #7) Cape Storm (Weather Warden, #8) Total Eclipse (Weather Warden, #9)

Joanne Baldwin is a Weather Warden. Usually, all it takes is a wave of her hand to tame the most violent weather. But now, she's trying to outrun another kind of storm: accusations of corruption and murder. So, she's resorting to the very human tactic of running for her life...
