Question of the Week: Merry Christmas! Happy Holidays! What books did Santa stuff your stocking with this holiday season? Do a holiday book haul for us! If you don’t celebrate just show off your books that you got this week. Pictures!!!


Cool question as always. Happy holidays everyone. Santa brought me a trilogy I never would have gotten myself. I already wrote about this, but I'm not a fan of books that are too popular because I always end up not liking them. However, I do appreciate receiving the Divergent box set as a gift and I definitely will read them soon.

    Ooooh I am excited that you got these! I haven't read Allegiant yet but that's not far off. I hope you enjoy them (and if you don't, at least they'll look pretty on your bookshelf!)

    I'm usually in the same mindset. I avoid overly hyped books like the plague. I broke down around November and bought them. I loved the first one, thought the second was pretty good, and have come to not wanting to finish the third. I don't mean to discourage the read! They are very entertaining and have a great concept - but certain things frustrate me and they happen to have been in the last book haha. I'll likely finish it soon though.

    Box sets are such fun gifts, aren't they?
    I'll admit that I haven't read the series yet. Even I don't like reading books that are too popular, at least until the hype doesn't die down, because they never seem to live up to expectations.

      I just never seem to end up liking books that are popular...not sure if its the hype that affected my expectations of the stories..oh well, hopefully it won't be the case for this series.

    Sometimes I seriously feel like I am one of those people as well that doesn't always love the super popular hyped up books. I'm not ina hurry to read this trilogy.

    Oh pretty, a box set of Divergent. I've not read the Allegiant yet, I'm just not ready to read it especially in this holiday season.

    Ooh. I've never read the Divergent Series for the same reasons as you, but it does look like a nice book set.
