This is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee & Alison Can Read. Check out this week's interesting question:
Does your reading habits change based on your mood? Do you read a certain genre if you are feeling depressed or happy?
Ans: It does. Sometimes I'm a bit lonely or down and in the mood for something light, humorous, or romantic, so I turn to contemporary chick lits. There are times, well most of the time, I'm in the mood for something strange and otherworldly so I turn to young adult, urban fantasy, paranormal, adventure, sci-fi. etc. Then there are times when I'm in the need for dark love so I grab for gothic novels.
What about you?
My mood definitely effects what I read. How could it not? There are genres I avoid when I'm feeling down.

I read paranormals despite my mood! Usually reading helps get me into a better frame of mind! I'll think, yes [this event or whatever] was bad, but at least you don't have demon guts all over you! Or something to that effect!! Hee hee! Reading is a great escape for me and I love the paranormal world!
